200,000 Heart Beats

Dear friends, near and far,

This New Year, please join me in beating your heart 200,000 times during exercise –  once for each person in Canada this year hearing those dreaded words “You have cancer”.  If 70 of us do it, we can beat our hearts 14 million times – once for every man, woman and child in the world diagnosed with cancer in 2017.  Please register for the 200,000 Heart Beats challenge here.

You can do it!!  If you aim for an easy 120 beats per minute during exercise, you’ll reach 200,000 beats in 27.8 hours of exercise. If you exercise 30 minutes per day, you’ll reach the goal in 55 workouts spread out over 2-3 months.  You can use  this printout to monitor your progress: 200000HB worksheet
